1. Make sure the Nyte Ryder LED Safety light is placed on a fused circuit, typically 3- 5 Amps. Nyte Ryder LED Safety light draws .16 amps. Heated shields typically draw 2 amps. Please consider these factors when choosing the appropriate fuse. Nyte Ryder is not responsible for damages if not placed on a fused circuit.
2. Carefully study shield movement prior to mounting. A modular helmet will require additional "play".
3. Make sure helmet is clean and free of oily debris.
4. Use masking tape (not scotch tape) to temporarily tape the light on to evaluate placement. Consider head position when riding.
5. Be careful when removing adhesive backing. A knife blade should be used to peal up a corner and separate the backing from the adhesive. Pulling the adhesive off voids the warranty.
6. After adhering light to helmet, It is advised to place one clip at the junction of the cord and the LED lights to take pressure off of the connection. Do NOT bend the connection between the cord and lights. Use the remaining clip to adhere the cord to the base of the helmet. Additional clips can be purchased at your local hardware store.
